Project Delivery Lead (Senior Project Manager)

About the role

You will own delivery of Databricks data and AI programs, end to end. You will keep scope, budget, and timelines on track. You will manage the client relationship day to day. You will lead mixed onshore and offshore teams.

What you will do

• Plan and run Databricks programs: migrations, Lakehouse builds, and AI/ML use cases.
• Own scope, schedule, budget, RAID logs, and change requests.
• Run Agile delivery: sprint planning, backlog, reviews, and retros.
• Lead steering committees and weekly status reporting to client executives.
• Coordinate architects, data engineers, and AI engineers across time zones.
• Spot delivery risks early. Escalate with a clear plan, not just a problem.
• Manage resourcing, onboarding, and handovers within the team.
• Drive quality gates: design sign-off, testing, UAT, and go-live readiness.
• Find expansion opportunities with the client and support account growth.

What you must have

• Proven delivery of Databricks projects (mandatory). You must be able to discuss Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, workflows, and cluster cost with engineers and clients.
• Extensive IT delivery background, with significant time as a project or program manager.
• Proven delivery of data platform, data warehouse, or analytics programs.
• Strong Agile and hybrid delivery skills (Scrum, SAFe, or PRINCE2).
• Experience managing distributed or offshore teams.
• Commercial awareness: fixed-price and T&M engagements, margins, and change control.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with C-level stakeholders.

Nice to have

• PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, CSM, or SAFe certification.
• Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals or similar accreditation.
• Exposure to GenAI or ML programs in production.
